Lisbon is the perfect mix of tradition and modernity. I’ve been lucky enough to visit several times this year and discover some fantastic hotels, restaurants and clubs. In this series, I’ll focus on Lisbon’s food scene, with suggestions for a day built around the city’s gastronomy.

Part 1: start the day with breakfast at Nicolau

fullsizeoutput_1427 Nicolau is the coolest place in Lisbon for breakfast. I recommend following them on Instagram. The atmosphere is wonderfully relaxed, with a groovy soundtrack. There’s no room for stress in this little corner of paradise. Breakfast is served all day, and brunch isn’t reserved for Sundays. The menu is full of surprises, from açaí bowls with fresh fruit and homemade granola to perfectly cooked eggs Benedict and, above all, the red velvet pancakes! The photos below speak for themselves. www.ilovenicolau.com Read the next part HERE
